There are many meets in the states that are worth covering, there was absolutely no way we can forget about this one. ImportAlliance 2010 Summer Meet was held in Nashville, TN and our JS photographer Kevin Kauffman was able to attend (even with slight difficulties) and bring us these images for us to enjoy. In his own words, here’s what he had to say:

“The weather was the usual. They called for rain the entire weekend. Ended up only raining Sunday morning before the meet even started. It was blazing hot out after the clouds slowly started leaving. There was a total of over 4800 cars and 7000 people. There were cars from all the way down in Florida to all the way up in Canada and everywhere in between. You have to start booking your hotel around January if you want a room because all the hotels in the area normally get booked quick. This was only my second year and I will keep going back as long as they keep having them. I feel like it can do nothing but grow. The entire weekend, from when you first get to the hotel, to the meet itself, to the nights in between is all basically just a giant party. It’s always fun to just walk around at night to the different hotels in the area and meet new people and just check out cars because they are filled with them. I didnt let my car breaking down stop me from missing that weekend. Leaving it on the side of the freeway and getting in my friends car was my only option, I was not going to miss this! You make new friends every year, all into the same thing you are into and you just hang out and admire each others work that they put into their cars. At the show itself I didnt even make it around to all the cars because there were so many. It wasnt until after when I was looking at other people’s pictures that I realized I missed some amazing cars. You have all types of cars as well. You get both the Euro and Japanese aspect and no one starting drama. Don Napier has started something good here and I give him a lot of props because I know how much work and planning he puts into setting everything up. It is starting to become THE EVENT of the year to attend and people are coming from farther distances each year. It is hard for me to put into words how much of an impact just this one event can have on your life. My only recommendation is for everyone to experience it at least once and I can guarantee it will turn into a continual thing and you will be counting down the days until the next one.” Kevin Kauffman
