California’s Ill Sedan

Marcus Cooke, does his name ring a bell? Well, Marcus happens to be a very well recognized photographer in today’s scene and although you may have seen his images in many of the popular stance sites throughout the web, you may not recognize his 2005 Infiniti G35 sedan. He’s built a very unique hybrid of VIP and sport style that has gained him great recognition, and we are very fortunate to feature his car on our site. When it comes to G’s in the states, this is very close to as clean as it gets.

In 2007 Marcus graduated and picked up this car as his family was beginning to grow. At first he tells us he was not interested in modding the car. However, that changed surfing through several online forums within a few days after he purchased it. Coincidently his photography lead him to the stance scene;

“I got into the stance/fitment scene about a year ago. I was already riding pretty low on BC Racing coilovers, with flush wheels but once I did a photo shoot of Shane’s HellaFlush and bagged G35 Coupe I noticed a Wrong Fitment Crew decal. Became a WFC member and I was hooked! Decided to run smaller tires, go lower, add camber and do more fender work earlier this year and I couldn’t be happier with the result. Can’t imagine driving a car that isn’t stanced and fitted now.”

The modification list on this car is huge, but there’s something that really sets him apart from the rest. Pop the hood, and it’s immediately in your face. When it comes to the engine bay, there’s not a spot on this G that can be better. He has polished nearly everything from lower/upper plenums, throttle body, covers, and replaced over 100 nuts and bolts with polished one’s. All wire’s have been tucked and hidden from plain view including the use of ARC caps to keep things looking sharp. We’ll vouch to say it’s among the cleanest G engine bays in the states, if not the cleanest.

The controversial styling is a blend of VIP and sport. Marcus combined the elegancy of a 4dr G sedan and added his own flair of style by choosing to stay traditional with a set of 19″ Nismo LMGT4s by Rays Engineering. The stance on this G is nearly perfect and kept subtle, the fitment is flush, some poke, and nicely dialed in camber. The body styling is ideal, a sick combination of molded and shaved parts that keeps the lines unique and smooth.

As amazing Marcus sedan is at the moment, he’s in the process of finalizing his build. Next up is adding some interior goodies and a sound system for his enjoyment. Here at JS we are extremely pleased with the final results this G received and are pretty confident with the direction Marcus has taken his build.     Wow, what a disgrace. Everyones reviews are as if a 4 year old wrote them, and noone knows what they’re talking about. This just gives your car a bad look Marcus.

    • Marcus’s ride deserves a higher score but that’s after seeing his car in person. By looking at the pictures, most of the evaluators scored low on the ‘tuck-n-poke’ section because that’s how it is reflected. I gotta agree though, there were some evaluations that I totally disagree.

    Serious??? TE37 has numerous knock offs too, is that cheap looking also?

      I’m with him^

      BBS LMs are one of the biggest ripped off wheel in history, so LMs are cheap now…. wait no they’re still $4000 and they still look like it.

      The rarity of LMGT4s alone is amazing, there 20x as many Te37s in North America than GT4s.

      Marcus’ car should have ranked way higher, I’m pretty shocked. There isn’t a single part of this car that hasn’t had every fine detail taken care of. It is without a doubt the cleanest G sedan part for part in the fitment scene.

      Find me one cheap part on this car or one thing poorly done/half assed.

      You won’t.
