Joe grew up in Japan surrounded by the VIP scene and Skyline GTR's. His passion for the fitment scene are the inspiration behind his Honda Accord. The car came as an early graduation gift and Joe immediately started to work on it. Unfortunately, he experienced a few snags along the way when his jack slipped and dented up the right rocker panel. Then, a lady hit his car from behind and destroyed his bumper. However, despite the unforeseen setbacks, nothing prevented him from getting it all done. His perseverance prevailed and personally, I think it looks great.

Jesslee Magaoay is a hardcore car enthusiast who has been in the car scene ever since he first got his driver’s license. Hawaii has definitely made its mark with its fair share of immaculate stanced out cars and Jesslee has always been known to do his car right every time. His initial plan with the xB was to have the lowest offset & lowest xB in Hawaii.

When he first got the xB, he was sporting BBS RS wheels which were 15 x 8.5 in the front with a -8 offset and 15 x 9.5 in the rear with a -21 offset. These wheels & specs weren’t up to par with his standards, so being the guy he is to push the limits on things, he went and got a set of CCW Classics and painted them championship white with polished lips. These wheels were 16 x 10 -22 all around. For suspension he decided on Universal Air and added some flair with rolled/pulled fenders, -4 camber in the front and -8 camber in the rear. Along with the Universal Air Suspension, he was running Ksport coilovers. The air setup featured a 5 gallon tank and a 440 VIA air compressor. An all around sweet and aggressive looking box, definitely making a statement in the Aloha State.

Water by the Bridge is an event held in Louisville, KY for German cars, with a general spotting of other types. It is held at Waterfront Park next to the Ohio River, which adds an amazing backdrop for the show. It is the season opening event for a large amount of Midwest enthusiasts. Luckily this year, with a more mild beginning of spring than years past, the weather was great. I didn't hear much about this event in years past, but this year it was THE event to be at. Attendance was well over double from the previous year and keeps growing at a staggering rate each year.

I have found that German car enthusiasts to be a lot more tight nit group and more family like than a lot of others. It was definitely noticed here. It is nice to see a lot of familiar faces after, what always seems to be, a long winter. The great thing about this event is you get a good mix of classic and new cars. You get owners of all types, which makes for a very diverse show. I think that is the best way to make the car community grow. You will get different perspectives, which can create new ideas for your own car. The ride down for me was nearly a 4 1/2 hour drive there and back, which I was lucky enough to find a ride after having some issues, and I will most definitely be going back next year. I met some new people, got to hang out with some of my friends who are scattered around parts of the Midwest, and got to see some amazing cars. If this is the first you are hearing of the event, I highly recommend trying to attend next year.

Dubshed 2012 came back bigger and better than ever! GTINI have done it again with more cars, more show halls, and more respect. This year being the third Dubshed proved that the team at GTINI will not stop until its global. They doubled the amount of space for show cars from previous years causing a back log of cars on the main road entering the Kingshall in Belfast.

Cars came from all over the UK to showcase the first of new wheels, mods, and their fitment for 2012. The quality of cars was second to none. This year at Dubshed almost every car had a certain shine or appeal to it, it speaks about the variety of the VAG scene in the UK and more importantly Northern Ireland.

I already hear there will be tweaks and changes for next year, so I can definitely see this show taking over or at least being on a par with a lot of the main stream shows in the mainland and abroad.

I have met very few enthusiasts like Alan Miller, predominantly because he delivers a level of commitment to his car that is practically unmatchable. In the short time we have known each other, I have felt his passion for everything he does. As a matter of fact, recently he posted this photo on his facebook page and I knew immediately I had to share it. It was the perfect representation of what he’s all about.

The car itself is breathtaking, and when we learned one of our favorite photographers (Evoked Photography) was involved in the photo-shoot we were ecstatic. Everything, and I mean everything, is to love about this car. Alan hasn’t spared a dime building it, and I really like the fact that he has diverged off the typical setups out there and brought his own flavor into the equation. There's nothing like standing out from the crowd and keeping things fresh.

Now, don’t let it fool you into thinking Alan hard parks his car, this cat gets a good beating every so often. Take a look at the mod list and you will agree it sounds rather peppy. However, what settled it for me was the interior. The first time I saw the interior shots, I was in love. These BRIDE seats are impressive, and after a long boring day at work who wouldn’t love getting inside this beast and harnessing up on your way home.

It was about a year ago when I first met Chris Amodei, and at the time he was dismantling his car. What for you may ask? Well, he was starting a full respray. Up until the last minute I had no idea what color he was going to paint the car. That day Chris sent me a picture of the color right before the car was going in the paint booth. I was probably more excited than he was, well not exactly, but very close haha.

Nonetheless, I wanted to see the final outcome because I had never seen a Brickyard Purple S2000. However, considering this was Chris, it was yet more interesting. You see, Chris really doesn’t care what people think about his car and it always boils down to what he really wants to do regardless of public opinion. To put it into perspective, he’s the ultimate risk taker and lives with the no ef’s given attitude. This is how he truly enjoys everything he does in life. The thing is that he isn’t worried too much about ripping his lip various times or cambering his car to eternity, he’ll do whatever it takes to get the look he wants and he always prevails.

Before we get some hate on his wheels, they are his winter setup so don't get too caught up on it. As usual though, the fitment is wild and we never expect nothing less from Chris. Maybe it's too extreme for you, maybe is ideal, but the bottom line is very few cars can pull this off. His car is favored by many because of the combination of simplicity and uniqueness. I'm pretty confident that he isn't done here yet, so this build will only get better.

Words and Photography by Matt Saatchi in cooperation with StayStetti

I remember the first time I saw this car at a car show held by some friends of mine at their high school. Considering the location (San Jose, Ca), more than 500 cars showed up. Tons of people from all around the bay area were present and if you know anything about the San Jose scene, you know some of the best looking cars come from there. This is one of those cars that rolled into the show cruising smoothly. I then realized he was bagged and as he aired down and laid frame on the ground, I was surprised at how good this car looked overall sitting so low.

Its been almost a year since and my friend Henry is now sitting more flush with a wider set of wheels, VIP modular VR08s (originally on a set of Eurolines) to be exact. As we rolled to different spots to shoot it, you wouldn't imagine how many heads were turning at the sight of us rolling through. I was impressed by how low he drove, even on bags, he is still putting some of our static friends to shame. Enjoy!

Jerome Cruz is a personal friend of mine and it is a big privilege to feature his car on our site. The thoughts and plans he has for this car can only be matched by the actual execution of them when it is all said and done. Having said that, let’s actually take a look at his MK3 Jetta as it stands at the present time. The color choice is the first thing that makes this car special. It is not just white, but a custom blue pearl color blend made by Omar Rodriguez (aka Mr. Dub Empire, aka Mr. Tilly’s man). Pictures can't describe it, you have to see it in person in order to appreciate it.

Jerome's daily is actually a slammed Honda fit, this Jetta happens to be his project car. A set of infamous 1988 Corvette wheels and coilovers were used to have it sit properly. It may not make much sense at first, but these wheels are quite popular within the dub scene and very few cars can pull them off this well. Adding to the clean appeal of the outside, Jerome also kept it fresh inside by adding a white Moco Moco steering wheel and a red headliner with accents.

Giving this car a subtle glance is a mistake. Honestly, every time I see it I find myself more in love with the look and style. A perfect example to prove that it is the little things that really matter and keeping it simple always works out.

The Honda Civic has left many with a bad taste in their mouth. While there are a handful of exceptionally clean builds, for the most part it is recognized as the most riced out of any platform. The good news is this stigma may be slowly fading away. Fortunately, there is a new breed of Civic enthusiasts that understand the principles of building nice clean cars. I know many of you already chose sides on this debate, and probably nothing will ever change that. However, having been on both sides of the turf, I think with a little open mind we can eventually learn to leap that hurdle and appreciate every type of car in their own way.

I thought it was crucial to mention all this. Sometimes it frustrates me a bit when I hear a platform not getting the respect it truly deserves, and this car is a perfect example of what I mean. Seriously, look at this car, it is practically as clean as it gets. It is a perfect execution of suspension, wheels, and tasteful mods. Everything from the drop, fitment, and selection of wheels is on point. If you are a Honda enthusiast in this scene, this car should make you proud. In all honesty, I think it looks dope!

Love this car! It is fresh, clean, and unique. Demetrius has taken a platform that isn't quite as popular and has built something special. At first, it gives the impression of only cosmetic mods. However, this isn't the case here, this CL has a few goodies up its sleeve. Inside the engine bay there's a Comptech Supercharger, some cooling mods, and even a tranny swap.

Demetrius went with a beautiful set of gold Work VS-XX wheels that compliment the red exterior. Another nice touch were the upgraded brake parts. The 4 piston calipers came from an Acura RL, and to our surprise, the 12.8" slotted rotors are actually for a 350z.

As you may know we are big fans of originality, so we truly acknowledge the effort in putting together this car. Without a doubt, here's a success story of being different and effective while bringing your own style to the scene. Don't be afraid to step out of your comfort zone, engage yourself in platforms that are challenging. Go out there and make a name for yourself, be bold, do whatever it takes to keep it fresh. These are the cars people recognize and appreciate the most.
